Abstract

The article is about the presence of feminists at the II World Social Forum, organized in Porto Alegre at the end of January and the beginning of February 2002. Among the discurses and practices of oposition to the hegemonic neoliberal globalization, women’s and feminist’s movements put in the centre of the debate different aspects of the interrelation between patriarchy and capitalism from different points of view and strategies.
