Abstract

This article dwells on the political and scientific implications of Gender and Feminist Studies – aiming not only at rescuing its legitimate place in the construction of a Gender and/or Feminist Sociology, as well as remembering its non-neutrality – showing how they emerged from a dialog between the social movement theory and the theories. Part of this dialog is discussed and the conceptual innovations that they have enhanced in Social Sciences are emphasized.
