Abstract

Based on the IBAM (Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration) experience in the training of female leadership and using the Campaign “Women Unafraid of Power” (Mulheres sem medo do poder) carried out during the 1996 elections as our example, this paper reflects on the new meanings that the field of politics takes on when women enter it, and discusses the possible specificities of the way women exercise political power.
