Abstract

The internationalization of companies refers to a strategy to get greater presence in the international market. As the companies need to make use of strategical resources for their insertion in the international market, was searched to answer: Is there a relation between the evolution of the strategical resources and the strategies of internationalization in great exporting companies of the Brazilian footwear sector? For the theoretical base were used the classifications of the resources of Fahy (2002) and the strategies of internationalization of Sharma and Erramilli (2004). The study searched to rescue the dynamic character of the Resouce-based View. The method of the research was the quantitative and explicative nature. The data were collected from 2004 to 2005, with 15 great exporting companies of the Brazilian footwear sector and had been analyzed by the Cluster Analysis in the entrance in the international market, in the current situation and in 2010. It was concluded that the companies which use more complex strategies of internationalization, at the entrance moment and in the future, consider more strategical the capabilities, then the tangible resources and finally the intangible resources. possui graduação em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1982) , graduação em Administração de Empresas pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará (1984) , mestrado em Administração de Empresas pelo Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1988) e doutorado em Administração de Empresas pelo Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1995) . Atualmente é professor titular da Universidade de Fortaleza. Tem experiência na área de Administração , com ênfase em Administração de Empresas.
