Abstract

Measuring the organizational performance is a big challenge to companies. Thus, we should highlight the organizational performance measurement model Balanced Scorecard (BSC). However, the Performance Prism (PP) model emphasizes the organizational stakeholders and states that BSC treats them in a superficial way, giving more importance to the shareholders and the customers. The objective of this research is to identify the PP contributions to the BSC, from the stakeholders perspective. With this objective, a semi-structured script to the interviews was applied to professionals of the strategic area. In parallel, the structure of the models was compared to enrich the results, as well as to complement the analysis of the perceptions of respondents. The results were very relevant given important contributions of the PP to the BSC, opposing the original criticisms of the PP. These criticisms became questionable through the perception of respondents and the comparison between the models.

Mestre em Administração e Negócios pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), com linha de pesquisa em Estratégia e Gestão da Informação. MBA em Gestão Empresarial pela FVG - Fundação Getúlio Vargas e Bacharel em Administração de Empresas com ênfase em Análise de Sistemas de Informação pela PUCRS. Atuando no ensino superior desde 2006, ministrou aulas em nível de graduação e pós-graduação na Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) e na Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), sendo atualmente professor com dedicação exclusiva do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), exercendo também a função de Coordenador de Desenvolvimento Institucional do Campus Restinga do IFRS. Possui certificação PMP (Project Management Professional), pelo PMI. Profissional com mais de 20 anos de experiência, incluindo prestação de serviços de consultoria organizacional, com enfoque nas áreas de gestão estratégica, gerenciamento de projetos, gestão empresarial e tecnologia da informação.

Edimara Mezzomo Luciano, PUCRS - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul

Edimara Mezzomo Luciano é professora titular da Faculdade de Administração, Contabilidade e Economia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. É professora e coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração (PPGAd/FACE/PUCRS) e Vice-Diretora da Faculdade de Administração, Contabilidade e Economia. Concluiu o doutorado em Administração pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul em 2004 e o Mestrado pela mesma Instituição em 2000. Foi Visitant Researcher no departamento de Information and Decision Sciences da University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) entre janeiro e março de 2009. Atua na área de Administração com foco em Gestão de Tecnologia da Informação, e seus interesses de pesquisa envolvem Gestão de Tecnologia da Informação, Governança de Tecnologia da Informação e Segurança da Informação. Lidera o grupo de pesquisas em Gestão e Governança de Tecnologia da Informação.

Maurício Gregianin Testa, PUCRS - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul

Maurício Gregianin Testa é doutor em Administração pela UFRGS e Professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração (PPGAd) da Faculdade de Administração, Contabilidade e Economia (FACE) da PUCRS. Atuamente, é Diretor do Centro de Educação Continuada da PUCRS. Sua linhas de pesquisas se concentram na área de Administração da Informação, Impactos Sócio-Culturais da TI e Gestão de Tecnologias da Informação. Em seu currículo os termos mais frequentes na contextualização da produção científica são: Educação a Distância, Ambientes Virtuais, Comércio Eletrônico, Internet, Gestão de TI, Governança de TI e Impacto Sócio-Culturais da TI.
