Knowledge Management Cycles: a study applied to the purchasing sector of a fashion and clothing conpany

Knowledge Management (KM) has been related to the creation of value and foster to the competitiveness for organizations. It can be applied in different contexts. The objective of this study was to identify the existence of a KM cycle in the purchasing process of a garment industry. For this, a case study was carried out in a fashion and garment industry located in the Northwest of the state of Paraná, a region in which this type of industry characterizes one of the main activities of the region. It is an exploratory research of descriptive analysis that was used of observation and the application of questionnaire to identify this cycle. The results of this research show how activities related to the purchasing process contribute to the processes of construction, conservation, distribution and application of knowledge. It also presents the limitations of research related to GC and garment industries.References
