Open Access Policy
Open Access Policy
The RCA meets the DOAJ definition of open access, providing public access to all its content, following the principle that making access to research free generates greater global exchange of knowledge. It therefore follows the Open Access movement in the diamond model.
The RCA publishes all its content free of charge, with no submission, publication or access fees. Published articles have no embargo period and there is no need for users to register in order to read the content.
Authors grant RCA exclusive rights of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons License (CC BY) 4.0 International.
Authors are authorized to enter into additional contracts separately, for non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this journal (e.g. publishing in an institutional repository, on a personal website, publishing a translation, or as a book chapter), with acknowledgement of authorship and initial publication in this journal.
This license allows any user the right to:
Share - copy, download, print or redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt - remix, transform and create from the material for any purpose, even commercial.
According to the following terms:
Attribution - You must give appropriate credit (cite and reference), provide a link to the license and indicate if changes have been made. You must do so under any reasonable circumstances, but in no way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
No additional restrictions - You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing something that the license allows.
The editorial process is managed using the Open Journal System software, an open source system developed by the Public Knowledge Project. Using this system improves transparency, allows information to be tracked and raises the academic and public quality of research.
