Abstract

This article is a learning experience, as a proposal of PIBID of Physics, held in a public school for students of the 1st year of high school in the city of Porto Velho / RO. This paper analyzes the feasibility of teaching Physics based on a didactic sequence using Comic Strips and inspired by the constructivist ideas, focusing on student participation, aiming to meaningful learning. We use the strips as previous organizers to awaken the reasoning and creativity in a few steps and to promote the progressive differentiation and integrative reconciliation. The evaluation of methodology shows students’ satisfaction with the activities and shows a higher performance compared to other groups that did not participate in this project. The activity culminates in the production of strips by the students themselves, gathered in groups to facilitate a possible exchange of knowledge and experience. The results showed that it is possible to take advantage of the use of Comic Strips and Comics in science classes, as they are strategies that engage the students in the activities. They facilitate a meaningful education and allow students to connect to scientific concepts previously taught.
