The aim of this article is to analyze the so-called “long articles” of the magazine Ciência Hoje das Crianças (CHC). The analyzes are centered on the representation of the discursive images of the reader that are built by the publication and that also constitute the discourse of scientific dissemination. From the theoretical and methodological viewpoints of Discourse Analysis, we have chiefly mobilized the notions of imaginary formations, reader-effect, and discursive persons. Analyzing how the reader is represented and elaborated allowed us to understand some of the reader’s positions. Among these positions, effects of approximation, alliance, incorporation, or separation between the order of science and non-science are produced.Downloads
