Abstract

In this paper, I investigate how narrative, and resistance are articulated in Banzeiro Òkòtó, Eliane Brum’s work about the Amazon, forest peoples and climate emergency. It analyzes, considering Brum’s journalistic project, aspects related to both the narrated events and the writing itself. The results point to the use of a series of narrative resources, from reflexivity to genre dilution, which hybridizes the reportage and activates the criticism of oppressive forms of Western civilization.
