Abstract

Current communication processes have changed everything: the way of doing journalism, politics, access to information and the relationship between political leaders and citizens. To this deregulation of communication corresponds a "liberalisation" of the truth often translated into lies and misinformation. At the same time, new right-wing radicalisms are emerging and gaining strength in a context in which the I-epistemology is reinforced by the digital logics of communication. Facing a complex uncertainty that democratic societies live today, where journalism is included, it should represent the safe harbour against the altering waves of misinformation and falsehood.
