This text proposes a debate about Social Assistance Monitoring, which is part of the objectives of the policy for the Single Social Assistance System (SUAS). It specifically addresses the organizational base of the administration of the SUAS and the implementation of the Social Assistance Monitoring system in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul since 2013. It evaluates the criticisms of the administration raised by workers and users. Finally, it highlights the relevance of Social Assistance Monitoring as a measurable product, whose challenge consists in transforming the process into agendas for management, for workers and society as a whole.
