Notes on democracy to interpret reality

The article analyzes the theoretical and political debate on democracy, based on the study of some of the main perspectives on this subject in the human sciences, and contributes to the interpretation of contemporary reality. Bibliographical research was carried out on some of the works that have influenced Brazilian social thinking on the subject, such as Coutinho, Wood, Netto and Bobbio. The results are an analysis of these authors’ conceptions, which range from the revolutionary socialist to the liberal theoretical and political spectrum.
