Abstract

The centrality adopted today by the information and communication technologies in the contemporary society is at the core of an experience with the characteristics of the CDI. The subject of digital inclusion represents today an increasing concern to provide access to the communication and information technologies on the part of the population that is disadvantaged and excluded. The experience of the CDI shows the possibilities that open up in the struggle against technological segregation, drawing attention to the multiplicity of solidarities and alliances, the gradual formation of a digital community among the excluded, and the different procedures of resocialization and broadening of citizenship. 242 p.

Pedro Jacobi, Universidade de São Paulo

Possui graduação em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade de São Paulo (1973), Graduação em Economia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1972), Mestrado em Planejamento Urbano e Regional pela Graduate School of Design - Harvard University (1976), Doutorado em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1986). Livre Docente em Educação -USP. Professor Titular da Universidade de São Paulo, Co-editor da revista Ambiente e Sociedade desde 1997. Membro do conselho editor das revistas Environment and urbanization (0956-2478), EURE (Santiago) (0250-7161) e O&S. Organizações & Sociedade. Tem experiência na área de Políticas Públicas Ambientais, Politicas Sociais, Gestão Ambiental, Movimentos Sociais e Participação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: desenvolvimento sustentável, gestão compartilhada de recursos hídricos, Participação social e gestão de resíduos sólidos, Educação ambiental e participação da sociedade civil na gestão ambiental. Coordenador do TEIA-USP Laboratorio de Educação E Ambiente. Representa a USP no Comitê da Bacia Hidrogr´áfica do Alto Tietê onde exerce a relatoria da Cãmara Técnica de Planejamento e Gestão. Coordenador Acadêmico do Projeto Bacias Irmas sobre Construção de Capacidade da Sociedade cIvil para a Gestão de Bacias Hidrográficas entre 2003-2008. Coordenador de Projeto Alfa da Comunidade Européia sobre Governança da Água na América Latina e Europa que conta com a participação de dez instituições universitarias da America Latina e Europa. Coordenador de projeto Fapesp de Políticas públicas sobre Aprendizagem Social em Bacias Hidrográficas na RMSP.
