The text discusses the proposal of the Enxame Project (enxame meaning a swarm in Portuguese) taken along with young groups of so called rebellious, law-breakers, of the ghetto area of Fortaleza acting, producing and extending cultural codes, making possible new strategies of social insertion. The project was based on the idea of the art of visual communication, through the material supports of the memory (city and body), considered fields of expression and resignification of codes of violence, which guided the accomplishment of image workshops both inside and outside the space of the project’s headquarters. It was an intervention along with a generation of youngsters that has in violence a mediation that incapacitates it to absorb the cultural benefits in its richness of situations and contents.Downloads
