This paper intends to develop the assumption that new strategies for the development of productive systems at the territorial level are emerging. From a historical point of view, they constitute a post-Fordist way of organizing the economic sector to face the challenges of the new globalization era. The author describes these possibilities and proposes a model of territorial development based on the concepts of quality and specificity. The relationship between his proposal and the classical productivity model is then discussed. Keywords: Sustainable territorial development, territoriality, territorial organization, economy of knowledge.Downloads
