Abstract

The paper discuss approach from Marcel Mauss about modern politics, previous to “Gift’s Essay” (1925) and containing a peculiar social integration theory. Within the posterior formulation of gift’s theory, he developed original concepts on modern democracy and society as political critics to Great War, starting his intelectual trajectory post-Durkheim.
