Abstract

This work initiates a reflexion about the structural conditions of the Brazilian archaeology in regards to gender and sex asymmetries, mapping the role played by female archaeologists and feminists theories in the processes of construction and dissemination of scientific knowledge and students formation, through the sexual composition of the scientific community and the analysis of journal publications and educational programs of the undergraduate courses in archaeology.
