In this article we propose the objective of reflecting on the possibilities and challenges of using new teaching materials and resources during the pandemic and presenting the teacher with the means and strategies of action. Thus, in the context of Language Studies, we discuss live streaming as a work tool to experiment in their pedagogical practices and for their training as a teacher throughout their lives. The issue is relevant due to the number of formats for this resource and also due to the lack of alternatives for teaching in the classroom. We have structured the text in three parts: in the first, we present a distinction between teaching materials and resources, placing live streaming in this context; in the second, we held a discussion on interaction and interactivity, in light of the digital media most used in the pandemic; In the third, finally, we highlight an example of a university extension project that proposes a live streaming schedule, in the field of continuous teacher training, which can acquire characteristics of both teaching material and teaching resources, in view of its purpose.
