Resumo

A book review of the collection of ideas discussed at the British Council offices in London in March 2008 which dealt with how to translate through practice without being a seasoned professional. The book, edited by Gill Paul, is a product of this debate, and raises issues about translation that include, the goal of a good translation, choosing translators and creating contracts, boundaries, problems and solutions in translation, and the actual editing process.
