The LDB/96 and the work life quality: with the word the professors of belo horizonte public schools

This article presents a research results about Work Life Quality perceptions of public schools professors, after the public scholar reformulation in 1996. This is descriptive research that adopted the strategy of comparative study of cases, in a qualitative-quantitative approach. The instrument of data collection explores three variables categories: dimensions of the task, individual-organization integration, and organizational factors. Twenty half-structuralized interviews had been carried through and applied 142 questionnaires. The first conclusion is that the professors are moderately satisfied with the general WLQ. In relation to the dimensions of the task and the individual-organization interaction the professors had demonstrated moderate satisfaction. The category organizational factors demonstrated the dissatisfactions of the professors with the inadequate conditions of work and its increasing depreciation. Significant differences between the schools had been observed in the individual-organization interaction. The remuneration, the performance of the Government and the union had shown the biggest dissatisfactions sources.Downloads
