The objective of this study is to analyze the possibility of applying the laws of bibliometrics to identify patterns in the structures of guidance and influence of Higher Education Institutions in the hiring of graduates stricto sensu as teachers program. For meeting the stated objective has developed a survey of all theses and dissertations held in stricto sensu in administration for a period of four three-year periods. The data obtained indicate the possibility of applying some of the Laws of Bibliometrics in the analysis to identify patterns in the structures of production and academic arrangements. Thus, the data show that the five most prolific researchers accounted for the guidance of 15 % of the research on environmental sustainability thus approaching the Lotka law. Doctors trained at the University of São Paulo and Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo stand out in the orientation of new researchers in environmental sustainability stricto sensu thus approaching the Bradford's Law.Downloads
