Estrutura de capital e divulgação voluntária de informações de responsabilidade social corporativa das empresas brasileiras

Este estudo tem por objetivo verificar se as divulgações voluntárias de informações de responsabilidade social corporativa influenciam a estrutura de capital das empresas listadas na BM&FBOVESPA, sob a ótica das teorias de Tradeoff e Pecking Order, no período de 2008 a 2012. A amostra foi composta pelas empresas não financeiras com informações disponíveis. Os dados foram coletados por meio de fontes secundárias. A análise foi feita com regressão múltipla de dados em painel desbalanceado com efeitos fixos. Os resultados mostram que a teoria de Pecking Order é quem dá sustentação à forma como as empresas adotam suas estruturas de capital. Com a inclusão da proxy de divulgação voluntária de informações de responsabilidade social corporativa no modelo de determinantes da estrutura de capital, foi observada uma relação positiva, indicando que as empresas que disponibilizam mais informações para o mercado conseguem mais facilmente captar recursos através de dívidas.
