Abstract

The natural resoucers depletion situation, the water, air and ground contamination have made the life quality level of the populations go down. This scenery has put the public managers in alert status and starts a search for solutions. In this way many actions have been put in practice in order to change he situation. Ins this article, the identification and systematization of the procedures and actions that the public agencies and managers have used, together with other solutions based on the sustainability theory have pointed the way to a sustainable management.

Pedro Carlos Schenini, UFSC - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

possui graduação em Administração pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1973) , mestrado em Administração pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1976) e doutorado em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1999) . Atualmente é professor adjunto iv da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Tem experiência na área de Administração , com ênfase em Administração de Empresas. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: desenvolvimento sustentável, Competitividade, estratégias sustentáveis, Gestão Ambiental.

Daniel Trento do Nascimento, UnB - Brasília - DF

Possui graduação em Administração pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2000) e Mestrado em Administração Gestão e Políticas Institucionais pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2003). Especialização em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília (2005) e Especialização em Local Government & Public Services (Ryukoku University - Japão, 2007). Atualmente é Doutorando em Desenvolvimento Sustentável pela Universidade de Brasília (2006). Tem experiência na área de Administração, com ênfase em Meio Ambiente, atuando principalmente no seguinte tema: Gestão Ambiental Municipal; Projetos Ambientais; Amazönia.
