Author Biographies

Edgar Bisset Alvarez, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

PhD in Information Science from the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), with a sandwich period at the University of Murcia/Spain. Master's Degree in Library Science and Information Science - University of Havana (2012) and Bachelor's Degree in Scientific-Technical Information and Library Science - University of Havana (2007). He works as a Professor in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, in the Department of Information Science at the Center for Education Sciences, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at UFSC and Editor of Encontros Bibli Magazine. He was Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Communication and Principal Specialist in the Information Department at the University of Havana, Coordinator of the Library Network at the University of Havana.

Genilson Geraldo, Federal University of Paraná

Ph.D. and Master in Information Science from the Graduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Bachelor of Library Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina; Postgraduate specialization in Legal Document Management; Member of the IFLA Advisory Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression (2025–2027). Representative member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) at the 58th Session of the United Nations Commission for Social Sustainable Development; Editor of the scientific journal Encontros Bibli. Research areas: Sustainability; Sustainable Development; Informational Sustainability; Legal Information; Legal Information Management; Information Management; Management of Information Units; Sustainable Development Goals; Green Marketing; Information Quality and Assurance in Sustainability Reports. Currently, he is a Faculty Member of the Department of Information Science and Management in the Undergraduate Information Management Program and a Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Information Management at the Federal University of Paraná (DEGICI/UFPR).

Patricia da Silva Neubert, Federal University of Santa Catarina

Professor in the Department of Information Science, Federal University of Santa Catarina (CIN/UFSC) in the undergraduate programs in Library Science, Archival Science and Information Science and in the Graduate Program in Information Science (PGCIN). PhD (2020) and Master in Information Science (2013), graduated in Library Science (2010) from UFSC. Works in the field of scientific communication, in themes associated with research methodology and publications, with emphasis on Communication, Philosophy and Sociology of Science, developing studies on scientific productivity, scientific journals and their editorial structure, scientific marketing, databases, Open Access, Open Science, indicators of scientific production and information sources. She is a researcher at the Scientific Information Research Group: metrics and publications (CIN/UFSC) and editor of the journal Encontros Bibli (PGCIN/UFSC).

Enrique Muriel-Torrado , Federal University of Santa Catarina

Degree in Library Science and Documentation and a Bachelor's degree in Documentation from the University of Extremadura (2005, 2007), a Master's degree in Digital Documentation from Pompeu Fabra University (2008), and a Master's and PhD in Scientific Information from the University of Granada (2008, 2012). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science (CIN) and in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science (PGCIN) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). With experience in Information Science, he works primarily on the following topics: copyright, censorship, disinformation, the information society, and the uses of information. He is Editor of the Encontros Bibli Journal.

Ana Clara Candido, Federal University of Santa Catarina

PhD in Technology Assessment from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT-UNL). She holds a degree in Economics from the Regional University of Blumenau (2007) and a Master's degree in Economics and Innovation Management from the University of Porto - Portugal (2010). She has worked as a consultant in innovation processes and innovation management. Member of the Technology Assessment Study Group (GrEAT). She has dedicated herself to the analysis of the adoption of Open Innovation, Technology Assessment, Disruptive Innovation, and Technological Innovation Management. Post-doctoral period (August 2023-August 2024) on the themes of Big Data and Open Innovation with a period of completion at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE). Since May 2016, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science (CIN) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science (PGCIN-UFSC).
