The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of Carlo Ginzburg in scientific literature in the in the Brazilian Information Science using the evidential, venatic, or divinatory method or paradigm disseminated by Ginzburg. The study proposes to analyze the text citations in scientific literature that establish that relation, as well as the possible influence of Ginzburg’s ideas. Ten texts were related: two Master’s thesis and eight articles from journals published between the years 2000 and 2006, and the citations were analyzed. The texts contributions indicate that it is possible, by using the evidential paradigm, to unveil the subjectivity underlying the view of the researcher who investigates human reality. Therefore, information scientists may have the opportunity to assume the role of facilitators in communicating the information, by actively participating in the process of knowledge construction.Downloads
