Abstract

Representations of the librarian profession are analyzed under the Librarianship and Information Science teachers. Data reflects how the intervewed teachers feel on various subjects such as: the students, the course, the profession and the representative librarians agencies. Most of them consider that the students do not enter the course by vocation, they
are from lower socio-economic classes, they have a weak basic education and are not interested in the career, but only in getting a diploma. These teachers pointed out some problems on the way subjects are taught at Faculty, on the way teachers act and work towards the students improving their knowledge and changing their attitudes.
