Abstract

In this article we discuss the relationship between Information Science and the fields of Library Science, Archival Science and Museology, based on two criteria: the issues of institutional legitimacy and the theoretical and scientific relations. We points to the interdisciplinary character of Information Science and the scientific concept of information as components of enhancing the integration of these three fields.
