Contribution of cognitive science and information Science for information representation: proposal for use in the construction of virtual health library

This study addresses aspects of Cognitive Science that can enhance the information representation in the construction of virtual health libraries, aiming at their use by different types of users. Shows the advantages of new information and communication technologies, which enables greater dynamism in the flow of information and sharing it provides simultaneously. Presents the appearance of Cognitive Sciences and its relations with the Information Science. Discusses desirable features and functionality to a thematic virtual library. Its described the contribution of Information Science to society. Therefore, ratifying the importance of interdisciplinary areas, with an interest to improve information products and services to benefit the user.Downloads
