Abstract

The exercise I propose to do in this article is to comment and translate the outline of the book on Kantian politics sent by Andreas Richter to Kant. Richter’s proposal is to organize Kantian statements about politics dispersed in writings of the 90s and to systematize them according to the foundations of the Kantian critical project. To this end, it uses the qualification of moral policy, as well as the transcendental principles of public law and the concept of permissive law present in the appendices of the written Perpetual peace. The presentation of the draft of Richter’s book will make it possible to identify what were, in the view of a fellow countryman and scholar of Kant, the structure and main themes of Kantian politics, as well as what were, at the time, the points of gravitation of politics.
