Notes on progress in Adorno (again)

This article depicts the content of two critical formulations against the enlightened concept of progress, forwarded in Amy Allen’s The End of Progress and Paulo Arantes' O novo tempo do mundo. In a second moment, the text indicates some of the theoretical consequences of the dialectics of progress in Adorno, presented in his 1962 conference and published in Stichworte. The intention here is to set out, under the light of these recent critiques, how Adorno's interpretation of progress, despite the ravages of our historical moment, would still preserve its speculative force.
