Crowdfucking: the orgasmic machinery of a sexcam platform

In this posthumanist work, I investigate the intricate relationship between human and non-human agents in the construction of intimate and sexual pleasure on Chaturbate, a platform that hosts erotic shows via webcam. I analyze how the production of such bodily sensations is woven by the gathering of a series of elements, with distinct matrices of intelligibility, configuring what I call orgasmic machinery (to illustrate this specific assemblage) as well as crowdfucking (to elucidate the way in which the sexual exchange carried out there is done in a monetized, plural and collaborative manner). By verifying the myriad of participants in this social practice, this research contributes to a better understanding of the way in which different elements, both human and non-human, interact and contribute to create specific socialities and events.
