Stakeholders perception about social third mission: a case study at a university in santa catarina

The present study aims to understand the perception of the stakeholders of a university in Santa Catarina about the benefits generated by the actions of the third mission of a social nature. With regard to the research design, it is characterized as descriptive in terms of objectives, case study in terms of procedures and qualitative in terms of approach. The study was carried out at a university in Santa Catarina, and data collection was carried out through focus groups and interviews with university stakeholders involved in the third mission actions. For data analysis, content analysis was used with the use of deductive categorization. As a result, it is concluded that the university's stakeholders perceive that they are benefited by the actions of the third mission of a social nature, with regard to improving relations with the community; increase in notions of civic engagement; increased personal satisfaction, sense of security and health conditions, both physical and mental; improving the balance between personal and work visas; greater possibility of access to education; improvement of relations with the environment through access to environmental education; improvement in housing conditions, better opportunities for work and income.
