Elements from the esperpento in spanish criminal chronicles

Abstract

The present work studies, using the journalistic-literary comparative methodology, the relationships between the journalistic production -on penal subjects- and the narrative’ studies, scanning the presence of elements characteristic of the Sight in the criminal chronicle. For such, we select four criminal events, committed for juvenile offenders that, between 2000 and 2003, had great impact in the Spanish public opinion, hauling even the production of reforms in the penal legislation. In such a way, the division between reality and fiction, information and entertainment in the Spanish press is revised.
