Audiovisual quality Journalism: a concept in construction

Abstract

The article proposes a reflection about parameters of quality in the practices of TV news and of audiovisual webjournalism, in function of the trials of hybridization of supports and languages mediated by the digital technologies; questioning Journalism as form of knowledge. At a time when the activities like watching TV and accessing the internet are mixed, the text also presents theorical references for the construction of the concept audiovisual journalism and for studies of the news narratives on television and Web marked by the multimediality and by the Interactivity.

Beatriz Becker, UFRJ

Beatriz Becker é Doutora em Comunicação e Cultura pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação da Escola de Comunicação da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e concluiu o Pós-Doutorado no Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Comunicação e Semiótica da PUC-SP. É Professora Adjunta do Departamento de Expressões e Linguagens e do Programa de Pós-Graduação da ECO-UFRJ. Nesta mesma instituição, Coordenou o LabTV / CPM –ECO, o Curso de Jornalismo e foi responsável pela implantação e desenvolvimento do laboratório TJUFRJ, o telejornal online da Escola de Comunicação. É autora de dois livros e tem publicado regularmente artigos em periódicos científicos com os resultados de suas pesquisas. Sua experiência acadêmica está associada à vivência profissional como jornalista e profissional de TV.
