The paper analyzes the information performance on the Internet and the impact of the current stage of technology as a media of production and distribution that transforms public and private communication networks. For this study, we propose a recovery of socio-cultural theories that investigate the transformation of communication processes and exposes cases of contamination. The article focuses on the political-economic perspectives of press and journalism and the legitimacy of the vehicles in the digital culture. The authors are from the communication, cyberculture, sociology and philosophy area, and include names such as George Wilson, Karl Marx, Gilles Lipovetsky, Mauro Wolf, André Lemos, Pierre Lévy.
