This research articulates the concepts of international correspondent and of newsanchor as established positions in brazilian newscasts. The article focuses on the enunciative position of Renato Machado in the newscast Bom Dia Brasil, in which the journalist presents international news from Rede Globo`s office in London. Drawing from Discourse Analysis as a theoretical and methodological approach, we affirm that Machado’s position is convergent of these two enunciative functions, originally distinct. Through the study of his participation during a month of newscast it was possible to identify and propose a particular enunciative position in brazilian television journalism: the international newsanchor.Downloads
