The articulation between teaching, research and extension in radiojournalism: the experience of Rádio Ponto UFSC

Abstract

This article presents and reflects the extension project Radio Ponto UFSC and its articulations with teaching and research within the scope of the Journalism Course and the Postgraduation Program in Journalism at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Radio Ponto UFSC is an internet radio station that can be accessed on www.radio.ufsc.br, on social networks (mixcloud.com/radiopontoufsc; soundcloud.com/radio-ponto- ufsc; facebook.com/radiopontoufsc) and on the campus internal circuit, in 106.1. It broadcasts news, cultural and educational programming, blending collections of productions and daily live programs. The proposal of the web radio project, which in September 2017 completed 18 years on air, is to enable experimentation and practice on radio journalism for students and, in an integrated way, university extension, by informing and disseminating knowledge to society, as well as contributing to researches by articulating with the Postgraduation Program.
