Ten years of POSJOR UFSC: report of the course and profile of production

The creation of the Postgraduate Program in Journalism at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, in August 2007, represented a rupture in the dominant paradigm of post-graduation in Communication in Brazil, proposing a Master’s degree focused entirely on Journalism. Ten years later, the Program has a hundred master’s dissertations and the first PhD theses defended. This text presents an account of this course and delineates the profile of the scientific production of POS-JOR- UFSC from a quantitative analysis, complemented by documental and bibliographical research techniques. Analyzing the academic trajectories of teachers and students and the dissertations defended since the beginning of the course until December 2016, identifying the researches performed by the line, its types, medias studied, authors and works more referenced in the Program.
