Abstract

This study gives an overview of the methodologies adopted in 100 dissertations of the Pos-Graduate Program in Journalism (POSJOR) of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, in the spirit of a revisionary reading about production during its ten years of operation. The work is guided by a non-instrumental view of methodology and by the understanding that methodological thinking permeates various instances and moments of research, from the conceptual elaboration to the construction of the object of study and demarcation of the empirical. In this article only a quantifiable occurrence is verified and the panorama presents general data on the approach and nature of the researches, analyzed media and locus of the empirical objects within the productive process of journalism, with the main objective to discuss the methodologies employed in terms of procedures / methods.
