In the light of the studies of Patrick Charaudeau (2004; 2006; 2008), this article analyzes the discourse of journalist Ricardo Boechat on radio (Jornal da BandNews FM) and TV (Jornal da Band). Considering the specificities of each medium, wesought to verify which strategies are used by the presenter to establish contracts of communication with the public. As corpus, we analyzed the discourse of the professional in two random days - May 25th, 2017 and June 2nd, 2017 -, considering aspects such as: the context of discourse, the subject and the proposed contracts. It became apparent from the analysis that Boechat’s discourse occurs in a different way in each medium, respecting the particularities of each media, and both the information and the information capture are present in his discourse.
