Nelson Rodrigues em Manchete Esportiva: crônicas da alma brasileira
Abstract
Manchete Esportiva, published by Bloch Editores, circulated weekly between November of 1955 and May of 1959. Nelson Rodrigues built his career as a sports writer through his weekly columns at Manchete Esportiva by crafting a piece of Brazilian history of newspaper chronicle and soccer associated to a national identity concept. His writings as well as the magazine register a point in time that preceded Brazil’s cultural industry establishment.
