This study investigated whether journalists from educational television stations apprehend contextualized knowledge about the semi-arid territories and their societies, from the stories and programs produced by TV Caatinga, webtv of the Federal University of São Francisco Valley. Questionnaires were applied and interviews were conducted with professionals from partner broadcasters of the university TV based in the Northeast and Southeast. The material was evaluated and compared with the study of the exhibition of TV Caatinga's content in the referred TVs, from the contrastive ethno-research. As main results, it was observed that the content contextualized with the Semi-Arid promoted access to and transformation of knowledge about these territories for journalists from three broadcasters participating in all stages of the research.
