A QUESTÃO ECOLÓGICA NO CAPITALISMO: uma crítica marxista

Abstract

In the current phase of capitalism, the ecological issue has become the “crucial question” to the humanity. In this sense, a new speech has been constructed in order to present the sustainable development as a solution to economics disturbance end environmental disequilibrium. However, this paper defends that the ecological response has hidden some essential determinations of the capitalism concrete reality. In this way, this paper seeks to resume both the ecological thinking and the Marxist criticism to this interpretation, displaying important points that has been ignored by the ecological analysis. These points can be resumed by the destructive face of the capitalist production which has not been considered by the majority of ecological thinking. Key words: sustainable development, capitalism, Marxism.
