Parkour as a possibility for physical education

The present study aimed to investigate the extreme sport of Parkour adventure, offering reflections on the inclusion of this modality in Physical Education. It was used as the backdrop of this discussion the Curriculum Guidelines of the City of Rio de Janeiro and the National Curriculum. The methodology used was the literature, considering the technique of document analysis. We conclude that the sport Parkour can be an important theme for Physical Education, considering the various possibilities for the contribution to the education of the student, as both subject and critic in society.
