Uma experiência da utilização do AVEA Moodle na preparação para a Olimpíada Brasileira de Geografia 2021
Abstract
This article analyzed the importance of using AVEA Moodle and Google Meet in the preparatory course for the Brazilian Geography Olympiad, in the sense of providing elements regarding the pedagogical efficiency of this tool. The research has a quantitative and qualitative character. The methodology was based on bibliographic research in the light of theoretical references and on field research that was carried out remotely. The data were obtained through the application of a questionnaire to the students of the Geosciences course who performed the simulations for the Olympiad and through an interview with the team composed of 3 (three) scholarship students and tutors responsible for editing the Moodle tool and for formulating the simulations and monitoring. The results obtained through the study showed that were overcome the challenges imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, which required remote preparation through the virtual learning environment - Moodle. And the results obtained by the students of the Federal Institute, Ponta Porã Campus in the Brazilian Geography Olympiad - OBG and Brazilian Earth Sciences Olympiad - OBCT. Of the five teams of students from the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul, Ponta Porã Campus, two were gold and bronze medalists, signaling that the virtual learning environment Moodle served the development of the contents proposed in the Geosciences course, demonstrating its potential as mediator of the collective construction of knowledge, being able to contribute significantly in the teaching and learning process beyond the traditional model, based only on the face-to-face process.
