Journal History

PESQUISAR emerged from the need for theoretical and empirical advancements in geographical practice and the teaching of geography. During the formation of the Center for Studies and Research in Geography Education, the steering committee established as one of its goals the creation and promotion of academic works originating from within and outside the University. The aim was to serve as a means of communication between Higher Education Institutions and Basic Schools.

In the 2017-2020 quadrennium, it received a B1 classification from QualisCapes.
