Abstract

The article “Black Women: A Trajectory of Creativity, Determination and Organization” seeks to make a brief account, focusing on the process of black women’s organization in dialogue with the following: the inclusion of gender and race in public policies; the holding of International Conferences — in particular, the World Conference on Women and the 3rd World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance; the Post-Durban period: action and monitoring; and the 120 years since the abolition of slavery. Lastly, some challenges are formulated as to the struggle for equality and social justice.
