Sequencia Journal is indexed in Scopus
The journal Sequência, published since 1980 and linked to the Graduate Program in Law at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, publishes original and unpublished articles relevant to national and international legal science, having developed editorial work in recent years with the aim of improving its qualitative and quantitative standards, promoting ethical, critical and plural scientific communication.
As a reflection of its commitment to technical and quality criteria, in the 2017-2020 quadrennium of the Qualis CAPES evaluation, the journal maintained its A1 rating, recognition of its unrestricted adherence to the reference criteria used in the evaluation, consolidating the journal's position as a valuable vehicle for the advancement of legal research in the country.
After reviewing, reformulating and implementing a new editorial policy, including the development of an internal Ethics Policy and guidelines for good practices in Science, Sequência applied to join the Scopus indexing database, an international reference for scientific journals and magazines.
Last Sunday, April 7, the SciVerse Scopus Evaluation Committee issued a favorable opinion for the journal Sequência, which is now part of this database. In the press release, the Scopus Committee stated that "there has been a genuine and notable improvement" in the evaluation process.
It is with great satisfaction that Sequência works to expand its international presence and become, increasingly, a democratic journal committed to the serious and in-depth dissemination of legal knowledge in Brazil and around the world.
