Pierre Rivière (or socialicide): perspective from the family-society relationship

Abstract

This article analyzes the case of Pierre Rivière from the perspective of the family-society relationship, under the theoretical frameworks of Slavoj Žižek and Henri Lefebvre. Based on the theory of transubstantiation of values ​​and the dialectic of lived moments, it explores how family and social dynamics contributed to the depersonalization and eventual socialicide of the individual. Using a hermeneutic approach, it is argued that the labels and roles imposed by the social environment conditioned Rivière's actions and identity, reflecting the complex interaction between the individual and the collective. The study highlights the relevance of addressing these problems from critical and multidimensional perspectives, evidencing how social and cultural structures can profoundly influence human behavior.
